MEI is not your "business as usual" company. Everyone involved in the company has earned their ride through hard work as either an artist or as a professional in their field. The label is not focused on the current "trends" or "standard practices" that other companies follow. Let's face it, the recording industry is taking a nose dive into the ground faster than a fat guy at an all you can eat buffet. There's a reason for this (and no, its not illegal downloading from the internet, though that's not helping). The problem with the industry as it is today, is simple. It can be summed up into a single four letter word... GREED. Instead of looking for cookie cutter clone bands that companies can make a quick buck off of, they should be putting money into artist development. Instead of buying a nice new house in the Hollywood Hills, they should be sinking money into talent and quality. The American entertainment industry has force fed the public with enough crap that people are beginning to choke. We here at MEI have had enough with it. It's time for a change... it's time for something different.
